PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Sports Sector

He began his sporting career more than 20 years ago, working for the Portuguese Fencing Federation and SL Benfica, where he was a physiotherapist for the first professional football team.

He has supervised athletes from the High Performance Center of the Portuguese Tennis Federation and professional football players both in Portugal and abroad. He has also worked as a Consultant for Football Clubs in the Primera División of Portugal, such as GD Estoril Beach, among others.

Health Area

Currently, he provides support services to high-performance athletes, both at the Sports Medicine Health Center (GB Sports Medicine) in Lisbon and privately..

Education Sector

In 2002, he began his professional career as a teacher, training coaches at the Lisbon Football Association (Portuguese Football Federation). Later, he taught at the Nursing Training Institute (IFE) in Portugal and was Director of Operations at the Bwizer Training School in Porto.

He currently teaches at the Académie de Therapie Manuelle et Sportive (ATMS) in Belgium, where he teaches several modules on the Osteopathic Concept. He is also the Co-founder and Pedagogical Coordinator of the Training Area at MF Integra, where he is responsible for Strategic Consulting and Training Development Projects for Ukraine; and a professor at MF Integra, where he provides training for Central America and Europe.

• Certificate of Osteopathy C.O. (Madrid School of Osteopathy), having passed the five levels of structural, visceral and cranial osteopathy).

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity and Sport (University of Alcalá de Henares).

• Master in Prevention and Rehabilitation of Injuries in Football (University of Castilla la Mancha in collaboration with the Royal Spanish Football Federation).

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Sports Sector

He has worked for more than 15 years in professional sports at clubs such as SL Benfica, Real Madrid CF or AS Monaco.

Education Area

He has combined his work as a physiotherapist in elite sports with other tasks as a Professor in different University Master’s programs and national and international private training courses.

He is currently the Director of the Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy at the Alfonso X “El Sabio” University and the Rafa Nadal School of Sports.

Health Sector

In addition, I have collaborated in the health field at the Health Company, Quirón Prevención, developing different sports medicine and traumatology units.

Currently, he is the Health Center Coordinator at Quirón Prevención (Center for the treatment of sports and trauma injuries) and a weekly contributor to the RNE program “Cuidate” on Radio 5.
